how do I enable JavaScript within Internet Explorer?
JavaScript is a scripting language that can add activity and function to a website, such as drop down menus, navigation button effects and interactive forms. It is advised that JavaScript is enabled within your Internet Explorer browser in order to ensure full learndirect web page functionality.
In order to enable JavaScript within Internet Explorer, please follow the guidance below:
1. Firstly, close all Internet Explorer Windows. Click ‘Start’ and select ‘Control Panel’ (Windows 98 and 2000 users may have to select ‘Start’, ‘Settings’ and then ‘Control Panel’).
2. On ‘Control Panel’, double click ‘Internet Options’ and select the ‘Security’ tab.

3. Click the ‘Custom Level’ button.

4. Having opened ‘Custom Level’, scroll down to the section called ‘Scripting’ and enable ‘Active scripting’.

5. Click ‘OK’ and select ‘Yes’ to confirm that you want to change these settings.

6. Click ‘OK’ in order to close the remaining window.

7. Having enabled the JavaScript, you can now restart your Internet Explorer browser.
